  1. I attended Tammy Jo’s funeral 35+ years ago and will attend her remembrance service on June 10.I visited her grave and left wreaths for her at Christmas. After the suicide of my daughter there was a time I could go no more to Tammy’s grave 0ne murder and a suicide was too much for me to bear .My Heartfelt sympathy goes out to all her relatives and friends .I am sure it would have been a pleasure to know her. To the Dougherty’s I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for the kindness you have shown to Tammy Jo .To Sheriff Dougherty your hard work paid off .I am looking forward to the news .saying Tammy Jo’s killer has been caught. GOD BLESS.

  2. I’ve been following this case since day 1. She and I were born 4 days apart. even though I never knew her my heart always had a special place for her. I’m so happy we know who she is now. you are home tammy jo rip..

  3. I SEND THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO TAMMY JO’S FAMILY AND FRIENDS. I’M ONLY ONE OF MANY THAT TRIED TO CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION TO HELP FIND HER IDENTITY AND THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR HER DEATH. ALTHOUGH I DID NOT KNOW TAMMY JO PERSONALLY, THROUGH THE YEARS HER STORY WAS TOLD ON THE MEDIA.PLEASE CONTACT ME IF THERE’S ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP FURTHER. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

  4. My condolences to Tammy Jo’s family. Having a missing cousin for almost as many years, this case has always hit close to home. Thank you to Sheriff John York and Sheriff Thomas Jack Dougherty for their dedication and persistence and to all the deputies and investigators who assisted over the years. A special thanks to Kevin and Michael for their thoughtful generosity. May God Bless each of you.

  5. I was raising my family in Lima when I first heard the news about the teenager found in a Caledonia cornfield in 1979. My children were 5, 3 and 1 at the time. It sent shock waves through our rural county, but personally it chilled me to the bone. Now I live in Caledonia. Hearing the news the past few months about finally being able to solve this case and seeing her precious little face just brings it all back like it was yesterday.

I am so impressed with the love and care our county has felt for this child and with the Kevin Dougherty Funeral Home taking on the task of providing her headstone at this time. I’m proud of all involved in this case and to say that I am a Livingston County resident.
