  1. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this! I just found out today about Mr. Dummer’s passing. Lee, Scott, Rachel, and Laura,……I can’t even begin to express to you how sorry I am to hear this sad news. I know that he is in a much better place! I have known Mr. Dummer for many years, he holds a special place in my heart, and always will. I can remember he always reminded me of my Granddad, and then when I started working in the pharmacy, I found out he was an Allan F.,……. so was my Granddad. This was when I went to my Mom and asked her what the F. stood for in my Granddad’s name. It was then I learned that the F. in both of these great men’s names stood for the same thing, Franklin. I totally believe that I was ment to meet Mr. Dummer, and I am so thankful I was able to help him, and his family, I only wish I could have done more! I want to thank you for all your kindness! Please know I will always keep Mr. Dummer, Lee, Scott, Rachel, and Laura in my thoughts and prayers,…… I love you all <3

  2. My condolences to all of you. My Dad, Jim Verhey, was a good friend of your Dad’s; they both worked at Heinrich’s together for many years. When my Dad was in his late 70’s – early 80’s he, your Dad and a group of ‘car’ friends would meet for lunch once a month – I’m sure there were many stories exchanged and perhaps a few exaggerations traded. I can recall being at my folks’ home at that time and Dad would be phoning your Father. Never one to pick up a phone for a casual call, that act spoke volumes of how much my Dad appreciated Al and his sense of humor.
We were lucky to have such great families and to grow up during that era. Cherish the memories.
