Survived by her children: Larry (Mary) Shaw of NB, Lynn (William) Magorka of Honeoye Falls, Gary (Mary Ann) Shaw of Farmington, Donald (Betsy) Shaw of Hemlock, and Debbie (Ken) Stiles of Henrietta. Her aunt Joyce (David) Beckley, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Nancy, So many words come to mind when thinking of her…Her love of lighthouses, the sea, fishing and shells, her rock collections, mac and cheese, Christmas, dancing, and her love of animals. Anyone who knew Nancy knew the most important thing to her was and always will be her family. A mother of 6, grandmother of 11, great grandmother of 13 and a great great grandmother of 4, Nancy devoted her time to being involved with her family and insisted on doing it with a style like no other. I truly believe the only way to get hurt in this life is to care. Nancy cared more than most, loved more than most and was made to suffer more than most because of just how much she cared. No matter what she was faced with in life, there were never any complaints or bitterness… She just loved and she loved with everything she had. The memories that are attached to this woman and her life cannot be broken down in to any small statement, Nancy lived life loud, colorful, flashy and full of sequins. She lived brave and never let anything stop her from being her true self. Her sassy outspoken attitude was her way of life and because of that so many of us have learned to smile through the hardest times. So, Nancy, for your love, wisdom, patience, compassion and tenderness, and all of the sass; Thank you. Fancy Nancy, after you, the mold was indeed broken. You will be deeply missed, but we will all continue on dancing like you would have wanted us to.
