Beverly Ann Embling – May 14, 2014

Livonia/Geneseo: May 14, 2014 at age 79 years. Survived by her husband of 60 years Floyd Embling of Geneseo. Children; Diedre (Joe) Williams of Dansville, Finnis (Gary) Feldt of Rush, and Kimberly Martz (Paul Miller) of Honeoye. Grandchildren; Christopher and Michelle Proctor & Jacquelyn and Anna Martz. Brothers; Ronny (Gail) Bohm of Rochester and Lynn (Laurie) Bohm of Macedon. Special cousin Jean Long of Fairport, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bev was born in Rochester, NY on July 31, 1934 to parents Harold & Erma (Frank) Bohm. She married Floyd Embling in 1954 and they have been together ever since. Floyds famous words were always “yes dear.” She was an employee for Kemps Bus Service and was a driver for the Livonia Central School District for many years. She was an avid bowler for and also enjoyed taking care of the cats and knitting. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren. She was a volunteer and driver for meals on wheels. Bev loved to travel and enjoyed many trips across the country. She and Floyd made many trips with Judy’s Travel in Mt. Morris, NY. Bev will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Friends may call Monday, May 19th, from 2-4pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, where services will follow at 4pm. Pastor Mark Shepard will be the celebrant. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hearthside Cats, PO Box 282, Geneseo, NY 14454.   1. Ma you will be sadly missed by a lot of people with whom lives you touched but by none anymore than me as a son in law but also as the father to two of your beautiful grand children. You were always there for me but also for Christopher and especially Michelle she is the strong beautiful woman today because of all gramma taught her and helped her with as a teenager growing into a woman I owe you a great gratitude for that. I will always remember you for that in my heart as will Michelle and Chris love you and miss you Bob. Also to Finnis and Kim for there help also I could not have done it without all your help threw the years with my kids thank you all and especially grampa you and ma were always there for me and the kids never judged but always offered advice and your knowledge to me I will never forget it.

  3. Bev and I have been friends for nearly 30 years. We met at work in Livonia and became good friends living just a few blocks away from each other. Bev and Floyd moved to Geneseo and shortly after we did too, just living around the corner from each other.
    Bev was a kind and caring friend.
    You will be deeply missed.
