Gates: May 1, 2014 at age 87 years. Survived by her husband Fred Recchio. 3 children; Fred (Diana) Recchio of Thousand Oaks, CA, Philip (Sandra) Recchio of Livonia, and Anita (Kyle) Addy of Columbia, SC. 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters; Angelina (Pansy) Legault of Greece, Elsie Wyand of Gates, Theresa Sandle of Spencerport, and Mary Dys of CA, brother Joseph Milano of Victor, and many nieces & nephews.

Heaven welcomed an angel today. Our mom passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an epic woman and larger than life in so many ways. She loved her family dearly and baked the best apple pies. Even though she was just an assistant wine maker at Chateau Recchio, she was the one who really called the shots. She was a loving friend and neighbor to so many people and could always see the bright side of things. She was my best friend and I will miss her tremendously. I will strive to shine her light of grace and humility, just like she taught me. Good bye to my Mom that I love so much.
