HONEYOYE — Arlene (Pera) Banas, 69 years old, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Thompson Hospital, Canandaigua, NY. She was born on May 28, 1944 in Niagara Falls, the daughter of the late Archie Pera and Maryann (Rajczak) Pera of Niagara Falls .

Arlene will be forever loved and remembered by her husband R. Gary. She will be forever cherished and loved by her children, Arlaina Janowski (Jim Light) of Sheldon, IL, Aundrea (Dana) Baker of Amherst, NY, Patty (Chip) Demmin of Tonawanda, NY, Gary Banas, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Peggie (John) Keener of Grand Island, NY, and Robert (Sarah) Banas of Tonawanda, NY. By her brother Ronald (Judy) Pera of Youngstown, NY. Predeceased by brother, Richard Pera (Carol of Niagara Falls). Arlene will also be forever remembered by her 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family and “grand puppies,” baking, and gardening. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #7545 in Tonawanda and the American Legion Post #1278 in Honeoye.
