Honeoye: Suddenly, August 12, 2009 at age 19 years. Courtney was born at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell, NY on November 30, 1989. She is survived by her parents, Mary (Timothy) Washburn of Bradenton, FL; Steven (Darlene Patterson) Rook of Naples; sisters, Aimee and Ashley Washburn of FL., Kyle Rook and Nichole May both of Naples, NY. Aunts, uncles, cousins. Very dear personal friends, the Wohlschlegel Family of Honeoye. She was a 2007 graduate of Honeoye Central School and entering her Junior year at SUNY at Potsdam.

Courtney was a kind, loving and beautiful young lady who was full of life. She always made friends easily and had a very outgoing personality. She had a talented gift in art and was majoring in art education. She was looking forward to receiving her Masters degree at SUNY Potsdam to become an art teacher. Courtney’s many hobbies included; hiking…particularly her favorite place Grimes Glen in Naples, she also enjoyed camping, wakeboarding, skiing, snowboarding, reading, creating beautiful art pieces, pottery and jewelry, writing poems and poetry, enjoying time with family and friends, listening to a variety of music, being very organized, loved the outdoors and played soccer for numerous years and also traveled to Europe with the Soccer Team. She was a life guard at Sandy Bottom Beach at Honeoye Lake.

Friends may call Tuesday 4-8 PM at the Honeoye United Church of Christ, Route 20A, Honeoye. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday 11 AM at the Honeoye Central School, Route 20A Honeoye.
