Jim was the youngest of 10 children, he loved his family and was very proud to be their brother. He worked as a mechanic after high school. He joined the Army and served during the Vietnam War, in the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He spent the majority of his career selling Kenworth trucks and managing a Kenworth dealership in Rochester, NY. He was an entrepreneur and owned a variety of businesses and real estate investments in the Rochester, NY and Ft. Lauderdale, FL areas. Jim was an avid pilot, loved to travel to see family and take vacations to the Florida Keys and “cool his jets” with friends and family by the water and in the sunshine. Jim also loved to dance and listen to blues music. His “girls” where the key to his heart and he thoroughly enjoyed the time he spent with his family.
Jim was a kind, loving and generous man. He made everyone he met feel like they were unique and special in his life. He was loved by many and offered unmatched love and loyalty in return. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

My brother Jim was one of the greatest guys you could ever hope to meet. And, to his Daughters Terri, Kim and Jeanine, Thank You so much for the loving “hands on care” that you gave my brother/your dad in his final days. It is a tribute to Jim that you were always there for him, and put your and your families lives on hold to care for him. You girls made sure tht Jim was not alone for a single minute, around the clock, seeing him slip out of your grip, while only being able to make him feel loved, safe, and comfortable. No one else could have filled your shoes. Jim loved his family beyond words. We are all broken hearted, and miss him so much.

Jim adored you so, so much. He was happy to be a part of our family and was very, very admired, appreciated and loved in return. It was a privilege spending every birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day with this wonderful man, and an honor to share travel, meals and moral support until his final days. Our entire family loves you, shares your sorrow, and wishes you peace and comfort. We are certain that Jim’s kindness, generosity, affection and class, even during his toughest of times, will live on through your and your children’s graciousness. God Bless You.
We have had a sense of Jim’s greatness through a long standing friendship with his daughter Kim. What is sad is that we didn’t truly know the breadth and depth of his many gifts, his generosity of spirit and kindnesses until I read this eulogy and these comments. Sadly we get to celebrate Jim’s life after his passing. It reminds us to cherish those around us, recognizing their gifts, appreciating their kindnesses and celebrating their achievements . . . with them, every day. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Pfuntner family. Grant and Jana Gamble
