Livonia: Joan M. Trescott, 74 years, of Big Tree St. Livonia died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Rochester General Hospital, where she had been a patient since July 17. She was born in Rochester, April 22, 1935 the daughter of Michael and Laura Smith West. A graduate of Livonia High School, she retired fom the Conesus Lake Nursing Home where she was a cook for many years.Joan had a great love for her flower gardens, her church, good restaurants but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan was a member of St. Matthews Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Livonia Fire Dept. She was predeceased by her husband Allen “Dutch” Trescott and her sister, Grace Shepard.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Pamela) Trescott of Livonia, Danielle (Robert) Allison of Belton, SC and Amy Trescott of Livonia Center. grandchildren, Lindsey and Katherine Salter, Brandon Anderson, Jessie and Dylan Allison. 2 great grandchildren, Joseph Salter and Sophia Rando. Brothers, Francis (Betty) West of Livonia and Joseph West of Rush. Sisters, Annette Panipinto of Livonia, Patricia Bush of Geneseo, Carole (E. Philip) Saunders of Ossian, Sharon Fitzsimmons of Livonia and Sheila Cook of Lakeville. Nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 and 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 1 PM in St. Matthews Church, Route 20A, Livonia with the Rev. Larry Gross officiating. Burial, Oak Ridge Cemetery, South Livonia.
