Our sincerest condolences from the Sweeney family and former neighbors. I have many fond memories of all of you and in particular your Dad. He made a profound imprint on many of us in school and the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
My deepest sympathy and prayer for comfort, to the Rohr family in your time of of loss. In remembrance of Coach Rohr, when he was our coach, in the old “Hemlock School” building. The ole baseball diamond out back of the school, basketball, sit ups & laps around the gym, slash, auditorium. The silver whistle he wore around his neck, which was a familiar sound in gym class. With one last blast of the “Ole Whistle”, in tribute…. we will remember thee…. Rest in Peace….. “Coach Rohr”.
I am so sorry for your loss. Coach was wonderful as my elementary gym teacher and as a colleague when I went back to LCS to teach. He was someone to whom we all looked up. I’m sure he is in Heaven looking down upon you with love. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Have to say, good to see Mike again. Sorry about your loss to all of the family! As a coach your Dad was amazing and I don’t think I have seen too many better. I saw him at a baseball game about 5 years ago. We were discussing coaching, as our Grandchildren were playing. A so-called Coach was standing next to the play in question. My Grandson threw a perfect pass into the 3rd baseman’s glove from the outfield and the 3rd baseman dropped it. It was right in his glove! Don said that coach never told the 3rd baseman he should have closed his glove and covered it with his other hand! The coach said nothing! The next year our Grandson didn’t play baseball because he was discouraged. We felt bad but understand your Dad was not the coach nor anyone near his caliber. Be proud of everything he did for our Community. We miss talent like his!!
