  1. a truly ignoble lady bound to sustain the less fortunate; with a ferver to insight the less fortunate and cheerlead the mislead; Janet truly is what’s missing today in American education: a caring soul

  2. An incredibly charged, vibrant woman with a passion for those in need. I just can’t imagine the world chosing to spin without her efforts. She replaced me, tri-fold, as home-school coordinator at Livonia. What a truly exceptional lady.

  3. Elyse, Dan, Betsy & Family~ Al & I are so sorry for your loss. Al and I have many fond memories of times spent with your mom. She taught us how to live with passion and how to die with dignity and grace. The quote of hers that you included in her obituary captures Janet’s essence. She was an angel on earth and now is an angel in Heaven.

  4. Elyse, Dan and family… I am so sorry for your loss. Janet was truly a great person and friend to me since high school! I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time.

  5. Janet, It seems like yesterday that you helped Maureen bring our first child into this world. The years got away from us and visits became few but we always held your friendship in high regards . i enjoyed our last visit a couple of months ago. i still enjoyed our spirited debates. that being said Maureen and i will always remember you with great fondness and we are most assured we WILL see you again in heaven. As you know, the bible says for us believers “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. God Bless you, Ron & Maureen

  6. Dear Elyse and Dan and family . . . Our hearts are saddened by mom’s passing . . . she truly was one of the most compassionate ( and passionate ) loving and fun filled women we ever had the opportunity of knowing and working with at school. Her dealings with kids was always one of tough but unconditional love . . . she truly cared and you felt it in all she did and said. She leaves her legacy in both of you and those spirited grandbabies! We are blessed and richer because of knowing her. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

  7. Dan & Elyse: We send our love and prayers at this time. We have lots of of fond memories with your Mom!

  8. My deepest sympathy to Dan,Betsy,& all of your family on the loss of your Mom.May you find peace in knowing that others are thinking of you at this difficult time.
    God Bless,
    Joyce Andrewlavage
