Herbert R. VanVliet of Lima passed away on April 18, 2012, at age 94. He is survived by his wife, Elsie; children, Sandra VanVliet of Lima, Michael VanVliet of West Henrietta, Sue (Jim) Kruk of Bath, Wendell (Randy) VanVliet of North Carolina and Edward VanVliet of Lima; brother, Morris VanVliet of Florida; sister, May Hodgeman of Livonia; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
