  1. Your Mom was a great friend for many years and we will genuinely miss her! It was so good to see you all even though at the wrong place. You have such great kids and you all looked awesome. Makes us feel old! Our thoughts are with you!

  2. Aunt Patty will be missed. I have many fond memories of Christmas in Livonia as a child. She will be in my prayers.

  3. In regard to my previous message. I somehow left out the name of the other one of our Queens – it was Joanne.

  4. Dear Greg and Family,
I am sorry to hear of the loss of you mother and Grandmother. Mothers are special people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. We miss you and think of you often.
    Love,

  5. While I can’t be there for Grandma Patty’s funeral, my heart and love is with you all. Grandma touched so many lives, and I will always be proud that she was my grandmother. She taught me so many life lessons since I was little, and I thank God for all the time he gave me with her. I love you Grandma, and I look forward to seeing you again one day. Love your granddaughter,

    Liz

  6. To my sister, Tamar and brother-in-law Greg, Gary, Lisa & Butch, Sherry, Julie, Scott and Jennifer – Our condolences for your loss of a bright light that shined to all who knew Pat. She gave of herself from the heart to her family and friends. We will all miss her presence but will carry her spark of life in our hearts forever….
My mom, ShuShu is quite grieved at Pat’s transition and sends her best to the family. Dara

  7. Patty McMartin Backus, such fond memories of a beautiful person and lifetime fiend. I cherish the memories I have of Patty and I roller skating at McPherson’s Point. Patty, Judy, Nancy, Iris and myself thought we were the Queens of the rink (actually I think we really were) according to Ma & Pa Dillon. I will miss my dear friend but I know she is now at peace, no more suffering. My love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you and will remain so always. I so dearly loved her.

  8. Just got word of Pat’s death. So very sorry that I am not there. I will always cherish the past few months I had with her. She is now at peace. Our loss is God’s gain. See you all when I get home. Will be thinking of you and praying for all of you. Mariellen

  9. Pat and I went to Saint Boniface grade school together. I was one year ahead of her. She was in the same class as my sister Margaret and brother Jack. They were great days. We always had a good time. Pat continued on to Nazareth Academy with my sister Margaret and my wife Margie. I went on to Aquinas but we always remained friends. In 1961 Margie and I moved to Livonia and our family friendship continued. We belonged to a euchre club together with other Livonia friends from Livonia and it was always full of fun. Love, Bob E.

To all of you – I feel so badly I didn’t get to see Pat again but she knew I loved her. I have so many good memories – watching her skate at McPherson’s Point – she was a doll and full of life and fun. Our cheerleading together at Nazareth, basketball, Critic’s downtown. Her marriage to Gary, who we all loved and the wonderful family they raised – Greg, Lisa, Sherry, Julie, Scott and Jen! You are all in our prayers and thoughts!!!!! Love, Margie E.
