Livonia: Ruth E. Morrell, 96 years, of Big Tree St. Livonia, NY died Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, August 28, 1915 the daughter of George and Frances Wycoff Fenwick. After many years of service, she retired from Livingston County DSS administration department in 1979. She was a member of the Lakeville United Church of Christ, long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Livonia Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Livonia Grange.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Raymond; her daughters, Carol Cottone, Marjorie Houck, and Joann (Anthony) Backus all of Avon. 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Friday, from 6 – 8 PM, friends are welcome to call at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 and 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia. Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM, at the Lakeville United Church of Christ, Route 20A, Lakeville with the Rev. Dr. Deborah Roof officiating.
