Honeoye: Kenneth C. Hilburger, 69 years, of Honeoye, NY formerly of Grand Island, NY died Tuesday morning, August 9, 2011 at the Hospeace House in Naples, NY., after being transferred Monday from the Ontario County Health Related Facility. He was born in Buffalo, NY, May 10, 1942, the son of Kenneth and Hildgarde Hezel Hilburger. He served his country in the US Navy from 1962 through 1966. Prior to retirement, he was a long time employee of General Motors in Tonawanda.

Ken was a member of the United Auto Workers, the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Post, the Grand Island VFW Post, the Honeoye Fish and Game Club, Hemlock Gun Club and the Honeoye Valley Association.

He is survived by his brother, Dennis Hilburger of Amherst, NY, sister-in-law, Marjorie Dickman of East Amherst, NY and Carol Maulucci of Grand Island. Nieces, Molly Hilburger of Lewiston, NY; Melissa (Mark) Clouden of Wheatfield, NY and nephew Dennis Hilburger of Amherst, NY. Great niece Kaitlin and great nephews TJ, Nicholas, and Dylan. One great great niece Kaylie.

Friends may call Thursday 3 – 6 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 8796 Briggs St. Honeoye where a military service conducted by the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion will follow the visitation at 6 PM. Calling hours will be observed on Friday, 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 PM at the Hamp Funeral Home, Inc., 37 Adam St. at Seymour St. Tonawanda, NY.
