Predeceased by his wife Barbara. Survived by his four children, David, Donna, Dale, and Debra, three grandchildren, Kody, Asher and Avi, many nieces and nephews, his sister, Jeannette Morley, Oakfield, N.Y. and his brother, John Brill, Geneseo, N.Y.

Sheldon was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School, Wesleyan University and the University of Connecticut where he received his Masters Degree in Social Work. He retired as the Director of Social Work at the Southbury Training School in Connecticut and was also employed several years at Yale University and their Institute for the Aging.

Friends are invited to attend services Saturday July 2, 2011 at 1 PM at the United Church of Mt. Morris, State St. Mt. Morris, NY. Interment, Mt. Morris Cemetery.
