Darlene R. Deats (Fisher) ~ February 7, 2025

Honeoye:  Darlene passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, February 7, 2025, at age 64 at Noyes Hospital, Dansville, NY.  She was born on December 26, 1960. Darlene is pre-deceased by her parents Harvey & Norma (Wilson) Fisher, sisters, and brother-in-law, Donna (Mario) Misericka, and Denise Fisher. Survived by her husband Craig Deats, son, Spencer (Kelsey Hamilton) Deats, daughters, Brandy and Taylor Deats, Maggie (Lennon) Smith, sisters, Debbie (Keith) Klink, Diane Fisher, Dawn Byington and brother David (Joan) Fisher, granddaughter, Lorraine Ruth Deats. Darlene was a lover of dogs and wanted them remembered as well, Chance and Dan have passed, Bandit, Ms. Ellie, and Bella are still living.

Darlene wore many hats in life, each one crafted with care, strength, and love. She was a fierce warrior, ever protective of those she cared for, a trusted confidant, and a friend and sister who embodied kindness, empathy, and thoughtfulness. But for anyone who truly knew her, the titles that meant the most to Darlene were those of Mother and Wife. Her love for her children and husband was boundless—unwavering, unconditional, and selfless. She was the heart of her family, a true matriarch whose strength and devotion held them all together.

If you were fortunate enough to be welcomed into Darlene’s life, you felt her love and support without hesitation. She was nothing if not honest, so you could trust that she would let you know if you were accepted as part of her family or not. Her embrace was always accompanied by guidance, and if you stepped out of line, she wouldn’t hesitate to offer the same discipline she gave her own children, ensuring you grew and felt loved all the same.

Being around Darlene meant feeling empowered—she had a way of making you believe you could take on anything, and her home was a place of warmth and belonging. It was always full of laughter, love, and the presence of family. She was a steady source of wisdom, always just a phone call away, ready to offer advice or lend an ear. Darlene’s love was the foundation that made you feel part of something bigger—something special, something real.

Now, Forever, Always.

Per Darlene’s wishes, there will be no formal calling or service. Family and friends are invited to the Valley Inn at Honeoye Lake, 8970 Main St, Honeoye, NY 14471, on Saturday, February 15th, from 11AM until for a reception and gathering where food will be provided.
