Donald “Stubby” R. Struble ~ January 8, 2025

Hemlock: At age 69, Don passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. He was born on July 18, 1955, in Dansville, NY to the late Ray and Liz Struble. Survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Jeanne M. (Rhoads) Struble, his son Troy Struble, his grandchildren, Trinity Colyer, Kayleen Colyer, and Cohen Colyer, his sister, Sharon (Jim) Lucey, mom of 49 years Shirley Rhoads, a life long Brother Chet Wester along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

After graduating from Livonia High School, Don proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He worked many years for Jim Slocum and proudly owned and operated Struble Carpentry. Donny was known as a strong, kind, and dedicated man with a contagious smile and many many friends. Don loved to blaze trails across the open road with the love of his life Jeanne by his side, their shared passion for adventure on two wheels made for unforgettable memories along the way.

Friends and family are welcome for Don’s Military Honors at 1 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, followed by A Celebration of Life Gathering at the Conlon-Mulvaney American Legion Post #1779, 6317 Marshall Road in Conesus, NY.     .He was a brave Marine with the biggest heart. We all looked up to Donnie being the oldest of all the cousins.

    Fun loving, friendly and smart, one of a kind. Donnie truly lived life his own way.
    Whether you saw him often or just once in awhile, it was memorable!
    What a ride Jeannie….. we’re thinking of you babe and all the family too.

    So sorry to hear of Stubby’s passing; we always enjoyed his visits over the years and all the miles on the motorcycles. His wit, mischievous grin and humble demeanor will be greatly missed, along with his company on rides. We could tell his love for his family and country was deep through his comments and devotion. Please know you’re in our thoughts and prayers.
