Honeoye: At age 63, Bill passed away unexpectedly at his home in Honeoye, NY. He was born on February 24, 1961, to the late William Chapman and Reata (Brockway) Boyea in Fort Covington, NY. Survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Janice (Sackett) Boyea, his children, Alyssa (Courtney Owens) Boyea, Jarrid (Courtney) Boyea, his grandchildren, Kylie Boyea, Mia Boyea, Wyatt Boyea, Simon Boyea, and Mairin Boyea, his step-father, Dale Boyea, his siblings, Cindy (Joe) Marushak, Stephanie (Brian) Bean, Nicole (Andy Norwood) Boyea; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Bill moved down from the North Country when he was a young boy. He grew up in Rush, NY, and when not in school, spent his time on the ice playing hockey, astride his dirt bike, or working at the local greenhouse. His love of all things mechanical led him to auto mechanic work, and CNC machines. After a brief stint as an electrician, his life’s journey took him to more outdoor endeavors in harness racing, the wood business, and shooting sports. When the hard work and “play” took a toll on his body, he retired to a life of Grandpa duties, chief handyman, and groundskeeper for his family. Bill was a man of few words with an enormous heart, and is already deeply missed.
A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8961 Main Street, Honeoye, NY. Jan and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Bill was a great friend to everyone. I don’t believe I ever met a couple that were meant to be together more than you and Bill. You were each other soulmates and he loved his family with his whole being. He will be deeply missed. If there is anything you need please let me know.
Love,
Cindy

With prayers of peace and sympathy… May you be consoled by the promise of the Resurrection.
We are so very sorry for your loss of such a great man. I, too, grew up in Rush and went to school with Bill. He was one of the nicest boys in elementary school. Although he was a pretty quiet guy, he ALWAYS had time to have a quick chat and give a little smile. It was such a fun coincidence when Bill and Jan were married. Jan and family, Tom and I are very sorry for your loss. May Bill rest in peace.
Love,
Kathy & Tom
