Fowlerville/Caledonia: At age 81, Fred passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Elderwood at Hornell Nursing Facility in Hornell, NY. He was born September 28, 1943 to the late William and Mable (Ryan) Hyatt. Fred is predeceased by his grandson Michael Miller, sister Linda Hyatt, and his brother, Dwayne Hyatt. Survived by his wife, Jeanne (Ricard) Hyatt; daughters, Crystal (David) Rudney and Billie Jo Hyatt; sons, Fred Hyatt Jr., Robert (Melissa Rader) Hyatt, and John Hyatt; grandchildren, Misty (Ben) Gardner, Mindy Miller, Maranda (Jason) Bailey, Megan (Macaulee) Carey, Daniel Wright, Abbriella Hyatt, Aunna Lee Hyatt, Jesika (Robert) Hess, Vincent Strathern, and MacKenzie Hyatt, as well as several great-grandchildren. Also surviving Fred is his sister Donna Theriac.

Fred graduated from Caledonia High School in 1961 and soon after served in the US Army from 1962-1965, where he was stationed in Germany. After the service he worked for Delco in Rochester as a Millwright for many years.

His greatest hobby was working on his land planting trees and he was always very proud of the cabin he built there. Fred always enjoyed Ford trucks and loved to take them off-road.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed for his kind heart and thoughtfulness. He will always be remembered as our superhero for his strength to keep pushing forward. He was the strongest man we know.
