Conesus Lake: Stanley J. Bennett 91 years of Dacola Shores Conesus, NY died Friday March 25, 2011 at his home after a short illness. He was born in New York City (Manhattan) May 17, 1919 the son of James and Florence Hazzard Bennett. He served his country from 1942 thru 1945 in World War II in the United States Army where he was honored with the Purple Heart. He was a long time employee of Long Island Lighting Hicksville, NY prior to his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Colyer Bennett in September, 1999. He is survived by his children: James (Doreen) Bennett of Baldwin, NY and Barbara (Jim) Dudley of Geneseo, NY. Five grandchildren: Greg, Caitlin, Melissa, Jonathan, and Christopher. 3 nephews.
