Roslyn Baldwin – March 14, 2024

  

Canandaigua: Roslyn passed away at F.F. Thompson Hospital surrounded by family, on March 14, 2024, at the age of 91.

Roz was predeceased by Irv, her loving husband of 65 years, and her brother Murray Karn. She is survived by her daughters, Robin (Joe) Ehlich of Charlotte, NC, and Marcie (Walter) Snyder of Honeoye, NY, grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Weeks, Melissa (Michael) Smith, and Elizabeth (Frank) Fabor, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Margot (Murray) Karn and Diane (Gilbert) Aser and many nieces and nephews, as well as her half-siblings Shelly Karn LaBell (Fred) and Lawrence Karn (Roikaew).

Roslyn was born in Toronto, Canada on September 29, 1932, and lived there until she met the love of her life, Irving Baldwin. Roz’s aunt in Toronto and Irv’s mother in Rochester were friends and knew they would be a good match. After meeting each other and many letters, they were engaged and married in Rochester, NY in 1953. Roz was a homemaker and raised two beautiful daughters. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah.

Roz and Irv retired to Boynton Beach, FL, and spent many happy years traveling, playing tennis, and enjoying family and friends. They moved to Charlotte, NC in 2003 to be near family. She has been attending the Oasis senior program at the Jewish Community Center in Charlotte for several years. Roz recently moved to Canandaigua, NY.

A private celebration of Roz’s long life was held at the restaurant of her niece, Trish Aser, at the Old School Café, Naples, NY , and another at the home of her daughter Robin and son-in-law Joseph Ehlich in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 3-5 PM.
