Mary Lee’s biggest joy in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She thought the world of all the people that she worked with for over 28 years at the Livingston County Sherriff’s Department, which she considered her second family. One of her many and proudest accomplishments working for the Sheriff’s Department was being the first female in New York State to be elected to lead a Deputy Sheriff’s association that acts as a labor union.
In her retirement she enjoyed her time at the lake by making needle point keepsakes for family and friends, as well as hosting all the holidays with family and friends, especially the Ring of Fire and Christmas with her over the top Christmas Décor. Everyone considered her mom and she was mom to all.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mary Lee. She had a heart of gold and welcomed our family into her home as if we were her own. She was generous, kind, and compassionate, and we will miss her dearly. She touched many lives and we will remember her and the stories she would share about her life forever. Rest in peace, our beloved Grandma Cisco.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Mary Lee. My dad, (Dick Kane) loved his “cookies and coffee time in the kitchen” with Mary Lee! He also loved the fact that she was honest and forthright with him when he asked her for an opinion. She was a wonderful and generous soul, a friend to all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

There is a lump in my throat & tears in my eyes every time I realize she is gone. Difficult for me to accept. MaryLee will forever be the most respected and loved person ever to work for the Livingston County Sheriffs Department. EVERYONE, staff and inmates thought the world of this wonderful, kind, compassionate & understanding woman. No one will ever understand the impact she had on hundreds of lives. A true Wonder Woman. she was the best neighbour ever. You never called the police on me and big Tony. All those parties until early hours, bon fires ,fireworks, loud drunks coming and going ! Making you late for your 50th wedding anniversary after a few strawberry daiquiris. The most memorable memories of my life have been living next to you. I will miss you

Mary Lee , I will miss tormenting you wether you were in the kitchen or on the panel board or doing a transport in the jail ! I have sooooo many fond memories of ALL your boys and girls in the jail who loved your compassion, kindness and Motherly Love ! I miss dearly harassing “My Girl” like when I straddled you in a chair and chewed up a chocolate chip cookie and spit it all over your glasses and you had a little “pee leakage” ! May you find peace with your husband and deputies that have passed before you and will welcome you home !!
