Livonia/Geneseo: At age 76, Jim passed peacefully on November 18th, 2023 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY. He was born June 1st, 1947 in Rochester, NY to the late Harold and Rita (Schults) Kress. Survived by his children; Sharon (Terry McCarron), James Kress Jr., David Kress, Mark Kress, Michelle Kress (Ross Gerace), and Katie Kress (Marley Grimsley), & Jenna Kress; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Thomas (Natalie Kress), Carole (Bill Hassett): Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
No calling hours will be held. Jim’s funeral mass will be held at 10:30am on Monday, December 4th, at Saint Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Route 20a, Livonia, NY. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s cemetery, Livonia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd, Geneseo, NY 14454 or St. Mathew Catholic Church, PO Box 77, Livonia, NY 14487.
