Marlena A. Schillinger – November 16, 2023

Conesus, NY:  At age 70, Marlena passed peacefully on November 16, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronald Schillinger; their son, Jeffery Schillinger; brother Bill Wise of Binghamton, NY.  Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and many friends in the racing community.

Marlena graduated from Sperry High School in Henrietta, NY.  She later went on to work at Bausch & Lomb for 25 years.  After her retirement she went back to work as a bus driver for the Livonia Central School District.  She enjoyed the kids and especially that she was able to help her son Jeff at the same time.  Marlena was a die hard racer, race fan, and made many friends in the sport.  She liked to tell Ron that she was better than he was!  She was always competitive, very independent, and strong willed.  She always loved her family and took great care of Jeffery.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held in the Spring at Ricky Greene Park in Conesus, NY.  The date and time will be announced in the future.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Conesus Fire Department, PO Box 216, Conesus, NY 14435 or the Livonia Ambulance, PO Box 8, Livonia, NY 14487.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com
