Elizabeth “Betty” Klingman (Herrick) – November 7, 2023

Livonia:  Betty passed to be with her husband Russell and her Lord on November 7, 2023 at age 97, Betty had a strong faith in Jesus. She was born on September 24,1926 to the late Leon and Rita Herrick of Vestal, NY. Betty is survived by her sons; Jack (Ann) Klingman, Mark Klingman, David (Pamela) Klingman, daughter; Janet Durling, daughter in-law Cathy Klingman. Betty is also survived by her adored grandchildren; Justin, Amanda, Cory, Keesha, Erik, Kara and Matt along with eight great grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her husband Russell and son; Michael Klingman, brothers; Leon Herrick, Blane Herrick, sisters; Marion Stanton and Jayne Grasso-Maliwacki,

Wherever Betty was living her church was important to her and she would be found volunteering where needed. In her later years she found joy helping in the food pantry at Geneseo UMC.

Her heart was always with her children and her grandchildren. Talk about them and a smile would come to her even in the end of her life battling Alzheimer’s. She has her answered prayer….To go home with the Lord and her family.

A private burial will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to: Food Pantry at the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, 4520 Genesee St. Geneseo, NY 14454.

  1. My mother lives at the nursing home that Betty lived at. She and I became friends, and I would often sit with her and keep her company. Although she did have advanced dementia, she would tell me about living in Vestal NY and we would talk about vacations we would go on if we could. She was lovely and I will miss her, but I am so happy that she is in peace in Heaven.

  2. We only knew Betty in her later years when she came to be near Pam and Dave. She was always a delight to be around and wanted to be with her Lord. We are grateful to have known her. So sorry for your loss.
