Rush: Bruce R. Leibenguth passed away peacefully at home during a second heroic battle with cancer on August 17, 2023 at age 77. Bruce was born November 20, 1945, to the late Walter Leibenguth and Lillian Brueck. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his daughter Amanda Leibenguth and his beloved dog, Mitzy. He left behind to cherish his unforgettable memory, his loving companion of 32 years, Rebecca Stewart and daughters, Jessica Leibenguth (Rose Nichols) and Amanda Stewart (Chris Henderson). Brother, Clifford (Sally) Leibenguth, sister, Rolene (Michael) Vesa and several other brothers and sisters. Niece, Sherry (Greg) Jones and great niece Zabrina (Cory) Sides.
Bruce was a selfless man. He was a caring and loving companion and father, which roles he took very seriously, with great pleasure and incredible patience. He proudly defended our country and always protected his family. Bruce loved to fish, hunt, build RC airplanes and boats, but most importantly he loved to spend time with his family, and eat all of his favorite foods (especially pasta!) – he loved to share all of his meals with his beloved dog, Disco. He was a hardworking truck driver and mechanic, amongst many other talents. Bruce loved to make fly fishing lures, fishing poles, and anything out of leather, beads and feathers – he made many things such as; earrings, wallets, moccasins, and knife sheaths. Bruce was an incredibly talented, compassionate, and kind soul that was always a pleasure to be around. He loved to tell jokes and help anyone that he could, in any way possible. No matter how terrible of a situation, he always made light of it and remained so positive, calm and strong. He left such a bright light in the world and our hearts. Bruce will be greatly missed and loved forever, and always.
