Avon: Kathryn E. Murphy, 84 years, of Dutch Hollow Road, Avon, NY died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville,NY after a short illness. She was born in Rochester, NY, May 23, 1926 and graduated from Monroe High School. She was retired from the former Stromberg-Carlson in Rochester, and in later years worked at the service desk at the Ames Store in Geneseo. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. Murphy in 1990.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Fredrick) Janson of Avon and Robert D. Gillis of Wilmington, North Carolina. 2 grandsons, Bradley (Cathy) and Sean (Samantha). 4 greatgrandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Autumn, and Malcolm. nieces, Kathy and Jane.

Friends may call 4-7 PM Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Routes 15 and 20A, 21 Big Tree St. Livonia where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM, with the Rev.
