Livonia: Steven L. Listman of Livonia, NY passed on June 30, 2023 at age 61 years. He was born on March 31, 1962 in Rochester, NY to parents Walter and Rosemary (Christiano) Listman.
Steve was predeceased by his father Walter Listman and his sister Laurie Miller. Survived by his wife of 36 years Kathy (Wardynski) Listman and sons; Steven W. Listman (Heather Hannsman) of Lakeville and Adam Listman of Livonia; grandson Samuel Listman; mother Rosemary Giordano of Geneseo, brother James (Melissa) Listman of Albany, brother-in-law Gary Miller of VA; also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Steve grew up on the shore of Lake Ontario and attended Hilton Schools. Afterwards, he attained certifications in diesel engine and refrigeration repairs and was known to be a perfectionist at his job (no job was worth doing unless it was done right). Steve met Kathy at a party where he claimed it was, “love at first sight.” He was a devoted father who tried to instill a work ethic in his two boys. He enjoyed watching professional sports such as football and especially golf (he and his wife were fixtures at their local course.) But his favorite times were spent with Kathy at the pool-side or on yearly trips to Jamaica. Though Steve was known for his gruff exterior, beneath it rested a big heart. He will be sorely missed by those who love him the most.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, July 15th, from 1-4pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY. No formal funeral service will be held and interment will be held privately.
