  1. I met Bettylou when I worked at the Geneseo United Methodist Church. She wanted to help out and was fun to be around. May she rest in peace and I am sure she is organizing the heavenly angels. Lucille Kane

  2. Linda,
I’m sorry for your loss. I’ve known Betty “in passing” for many years. I would see her when she attended Operation Friendship at the church where I work. Betty would often stop down to the office to say hello and see if there was any volunteer work she could do. Occasionally, when I had my baby daughter with me, Betty would hold her and keep her occupied. Even after Operation Friendship stopped meeting here I would see Betty and she would always ask after my family. As I’m sure you’re aware, she had a big heart. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of grief.

  3. Thank you everyone. For your nice words about my mom .I really miss her so much .

  8. First let me send condolences to the friends and family of Betty Lou. Peace be with you now and always. I met Betty Lou at Hand and Hand group. I also belonged to Compeer group as well, but didn’t partner up with anyone. My daughter came to some of the group events if school wasn’t in session. We also went to Niagara Falls which I know Betty Lou enjoyed. She gave me advice at times. She was a woman who was wise and had knowledge. I learned some great lessons from her. She was feisty at times and took no guff from anyone. That is a trait I loved about her. I could say I thought of her as an aunt. I didn’t realize her age, as her appearance for age seemed so much younger. I know her daughter loved her more than anything and the feeling back was mutual. Rest In Peace Betty Lou and I hope you see the light at the end of the tunnel waiting for you. I will remember you when I see nail polish, because you sure loved it. Blessings to the family as you mourn this awesome lady. Much love Joanne and Jade Heinsler (mother and daughter).

  9. Bettylou was, as I remember, quite a talker. We shared school bus rides together and she was always up for a chat. She and I crossed paths at Walmart in Geneseo several years ago. She was still the same person I remembered from high school. Condolences to her family.
