Newark, NY: At age 74, Richard passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital in Newark, NY. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Robert and Evelyn Stetzenmeyer. Richard is predeceased by his grandparents, Carl and Helen Rumolt; and his brother, Robert C. Stetzenmeyer Jr. Survived by his niece, Susan Stetzenmeyer of Canandaigua and his nephew, Michael (Amber) Stetzenmeyer of Caledonia, along with all of his loving caregivers.
A Graveside Service will take place at 1PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Union Cemetery on Big Tree Road in Livonia, NY. The Stetzenmeyer boys, Bobby and Richard, were part of my growing up years on
the East Lake Road, Livonia, NY. Robert, Jr. and I were in the same class at LCS.
I was sorry when they moved away. I happened on Bobby quite by accident one
Saturday en route from Honeoye Falls to Keuka Lake. He and his wife were standing outside their home. I still recognized him after all those years !! We shared a good hug of surprise and memory. I regret I am unable to attend Richard’s graveside service Tuesday to offer condolences to the family in person. I admit to being surprised that Richard lived to the age of 74. Rest in peace.
