Avon: Hugh M. Duncan, 68 years of South Lima Road, Avon, NY died Friday August 15, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Rochester, NY August 11, 1940 the son of Hugh William Duncan and Bessie Yeager. He was raised by Samuel and Sarah Poles Lucas. He was a retired field superintendent with Elder Jones in Bloomington, Minnesota, and a member Local 85 Carpenters Union.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Hill Duncan; his children Hugh A. Duncan of Lima and Kimberly A. Duncan of Avon. His grandchildren, Lorena Walker, Ashley Duncan and Sarah Duncan. Sisters, Anna Thomas of Batavia, Beulah Coleman and Phyllis Griffin both of Rochester. Former daughter in law Sophia Duncan. Also many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Sunday 3-6 PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home,Inc. Routes 15 & 20A (21 Big Tree St.) Livonia where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00am with Bishop Clarence Turner officiating. Burial, East Avon Cemetery.
