Delevan: Jean A. Eckenrode, 66 years, of Eagles Nest Road, Delevan, formerly of Palmyra, died Wedensday, September 17, 2008 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw, where she was admitted last Friday.She was born September 2, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Katheryn Willison Konz in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelors Degree from SUNY at Geneseo and then went on to receive her Masters Degree in Special Education from Nazareth College in Rochester. She spent her professional career at Pal-Mac Central School where she was employed for 22 years. Jean was a member of the NY State Retired Teachers Association, the Church of Latter Day Saints, and she also volunteered at the Delevan-Yorkshire Library.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Eckenrode; her children, Robert (Lynda) Ingold of Walworth, Virginia (Lee) Riggall of Walworth, Constance (Bert) Ferris of Elbridge, NY, Stephanie (David) Burke of Bergen, NY and Diana (Matthew) Carvana of Amherst, NY. 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Her Brothers, Robert (Betty) Konz of Venice, Florida, James (Joan) Konz of Fairfax, Virginia, Edward (Barbara) Konz of Ohio; Her Sister, Betty (Steve) Briggs of Sarasota, Florida. Her Brother-in-Law, Jim Greeley of Hemlock, NY and Her Sister-in-Law, Dorothy Konz of Richmond, Virginia. Special friends, Ed and Barb Steiner of North Carolina and Ann Balthasar of Macedon. An Aunt, Nieces and nephews.
