Martin Gascon ~ March 29, 2022

Canadice: At age 92, Martin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 in Canadice, NY. He was born in Grand Forks, ND to the late Paul and Briget Gascon. Martin is predeceased by his siblings; Harland Gascon, Raymond Gascon, Ole Gascon, Lillian Williams, Norman Gascon and Anna Lawrence. Survived by his beloved wife of 66 years; Eileene (Austin) Gascon; his children; Melody Pratt, Laurie (Joe) Cox, Marleen (Rick) Clayson, Mark (Sheryl) Gascon, Tina Gascon, and Christopher Gascon, his grandchildren; Daryl, Gideon, Justin, Suzanne, Amanda, Hannah and Mike, and his 7 great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to call from 4-6PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 8624 Main Street in Honeoye, NY, where Martin’s memorial service will immediately follow calling hours at 6PM. Kind, Soft Spoken, Honest, Helpful, Uplifting, Smiling, A pleasure to be around, A friend, Harmless, Loves everyone, Loved by everyone, Helpful, Hard working, Loved his family, Loved everyone, I could go on forever……. BUT I do wanna say this gentle soul will be missed BY MANY!! So sorry to his family a GREAT man gone to soon….

  4. Such a loss for family and friends. Marty was a true gentleman. He was soft spoken, kind and a hard worker. He was an asset to the Town of Canadice and I greatly appreciated his willingness to serve the community. He has left a void that will be hard to fill. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
