Celinda Villanueva ~ March 14, 2022

Conesus/Rochester:  At age 85, Celinda “Celi” passed peacefully at her home on March 14, 2022.  She was born in Lima, Peru on January 4, 1937 to the late Innocente and Manuela (Matos) Villanueva. Survived by her son, Rich (Anne) Aguirre of Conesus; grandsons, Aiden, Elliot, Harrison, and Oliver; and sister Rudi Villanueva.  Also survived by several aunts, nieces, nephews, and the Davis family in Rochester, NY that were her second family.

Celi was a maid and nanny who sacrificed her entire life for her only son. She taught him the importance of hard work and obtaining an education. These important lessons were passed on to her grandsons. Her strength, dedication and love will be carried on by these four young men.

No prior calling hours will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Spiritus Christi Church, 121 Fitzhugh Street, Rochester, NY. Interment will be held privately in the future at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rochester, NY.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mt.
