Honeoye: At age 81, Renate passed away peacefully on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Elm Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canandaigua. She was born in Breslau, Germany to the late Willy and Hildegard Baer. Survived by her daughters; Susan (Russell) Werner, Denice (Edward) Schreiner, her brothers; Achim (Hannelore) Baer, Dietmar, Baer, her grandchildren; Timothy (Amanda) Werner, Kristen Schreiner, Tamitha (Rob) Browning, Michelle Schreiner, Nate Werner and Kimberly Schreiner (Nick Sued), her 8 great grandchildren, along with her special friend; Mike Blandino, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends and family are invited to call from 3-5PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, 8624 Main Street in Honeoye, where Renate’s memorial service will immediately follow at 5PM. She always had a kind word to say, was very inquisitive about what was happening around town, and I enjoyed making her laugh with my silly jokes and funny voice-overs. I am going to miss her. You will be in my thoughts and prayers in the time ahead.
