Marian M. Smith (Yorks) – November 23, 2021

Livonia:  At age 88, Marian passed peacefully on November 23, 2021.  She was born on July 15, 1933 in Lima, NY to the late Albert and Anna (Nau) Yorks.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence H. Smith Sr., infant son Frank Smith, son Stanley Smith, and sister Barbara Ford.  Survived by children; Larry (Pam) Smith of Avon, Gwenn (Rick) French of Livonia, Scott (Beth) Smith of Livonia, Steve Smith of Florida, and Bonnie Rumfelt of Hemlock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Robert Yorks of Lima, Ronald (Barbara) Yorks of Lima, and Millie Hayton of Lima; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 28th, from 1-3pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 20A, Livonia, NY.  A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 29th, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Livonia Center Road, Lima, NY.  Family and friends may meet at the funeral home on Monday morning at 10:30am and we will have a procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or the American Heart Association, 25 Circle Street, Rochester, NY 14607.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  2. I am so sorry to hear of Cousin Marions passing. I haven’t seen her in a great many years. From what I remember she was warm, caring and oh so funny. May you find comfort in your heart with memories of her and that your extended family shares your sorrow in losing such a wonderful woman. May she Rest in Peace.
