Margaret M. Freudigman – November 8, 2021

Conesus Lake, NY:  Margaret M. Freudigman, née Rombaut, died peacefully on November 8, 2021, at her home on Conesus Lake. She was eighty-seven.

She was the beloved wife, sweetheart, and copilot of Robert W. Freudigman (d. 2017).

She was the cherished companion of daughter, Nancy, and dearest sharer of laughter with son-in-law, Marcus Leinders.

She was the celestial star of daughter, Jean, and respected card-playing ally of son-in-law, Sidney Geertz.

Margaret was a devoted mother to daughter, Cynthia (d. 1976) and adored antique-hunting partner of son, Steven (d. 2016).

She was a proud MorMor to her many treasured grandchildren with whom she shared her wonder and appreciation for the inexplicable beauty of the world. She never tired of the sun setting in the western sky or of her blue forget-me-nots blossoming in spring.

She was a loving sister-in-law to June Bartels and kind aunt to her special nieces and nephews.

She was a grateful friend to her neighbors who sustained her spirit, especially during the last few years.

I’ll always have the memories of picking green beans, and tapping maple syrup at the lake with you, and awesome sleepovers, with Raggedy Anne and Andy. I love you Grandma. Condolences to all who knew her.

  2. Nancy, Marc and all, please know that Char and I are both so sorry to hear of your moms passing. We would ALWAYS enjoy our chats, or even just her friendly wave when we would see her on one of her MANY walks. I like to think of her walking hand and hand with your dad in some wonderful new place now.

  7. I am so sad to hear this. She was my favorite patient at the Flaum Eye Inst. She will be missed. She is now with her husband who she missed and with Dr. Chung who she also missed. I will miss you Margaret. Thinking of Margaret’s family ( her daughter and son in law.) She was a classy lady.

  8. Deepest sympathies from myself and family, I enjoyed stopping in the morning and saying hello to Margaret on her morning walks.
