Russell K. Strong “Russ” – October 17, 2021

Canadice/Henrietta:  At age 74, Russ passed peacefully on October 17, 2021 at F.F Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY.  He was born on October 16, 1947 in Rochester, NY to the late Kermit and Marjorie (Stymus) Strong.  Survived by his wife of 49 years, Jane (Williams) Strong and children;  Holly Strong Brewer of Honeoye, Matthew Strong (Dina Faticone) of Henrietta, Aaron (Kristin) Strong of Henrietta, and Dale Ayers III of Canadice; grandchildren, Noah Brewer, Rowan Brewer, Liam Strong, Logan Strong, and Emma Strong; brother, David Strong of Henrietta; also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other loving family and friends.

Russ will be remembered as a gentle kind loving compassionate man to all. He was a devoted husband father papa brother uncle cousin and friend.  He was formerly employed by Kodak, Johnson & Johnson and he was a business owner with his family for 40 + years.

Russ was an avid fisherman who never allowed his Parkinson’s disease to hinder his annual trips to the Thousand Islands in hopes of catching the “big one”.

He was a friend of Bill and had 40 Years of sobriety with AA.

Russ has left a hole in the hearts of everyone he touched. We are all at peace knowing he has gotten his “promotion”.

  5. Loss of a dad is such a profound loss, we cannot console
Loss of a father has time rippling with watery tears
Loss of a grampa leaves a chasm and hole to be filled with memory
Loss of a husband leaves the heart with a tear
Loss of a friend brings a painful good bye
Yet we will find our way, and let his spirit entrench itself in those who know love.

  6. Knew “Rusty” many years ago. Played Biddy Basketball against him. Re connected briefly at Kodak and with Bill’s Buddies. He was one of the good guys, which is understatement.
