To the Nehrbass and Hanna families:
Were so sorry to hear of Neal’s passing.
Neal was my insurance advisor and flight instructor, I was his last primary student back in the eighties. Every time I fly now, I think of something he taught me. Far beyond the blue horizon, there’s a hangar in the sky, your home for weary pilots, whose spirits never die. Fly high my friend, fly high.
Nancy and Jean,
My condolences for your loss. May you find peace.
My condolences to Doug, Doug and I met in 3RD grade 1965. And became best friends. Neal and Jean were my second Parents. I was 14 years old – But I do remember when Neal landed that plane on Lima RD. to rebuild it in the basement. He also was my Insurance agent, till I moved to Alabama where I’m still living. My Prayers are with you. Doug and Rosie. God Bless
Linda & Nancy sorry to hear of your father’s passing. May you find peace in memories and messages from friends & family.
I am sending condolences from my dad (& mom) Judge Ardeen Johantgen (Past Town of Sparta Justice)whom I’m sure they attended many events together as Town Justices. Thanks for his service
His spirit will be with you always. Sympathy
He sounds like an outstanding individual and I wish I would have had the opportunity to meet him. I have 75 free falls sky diving, It would have been fun to jump from his plane. He seems to have lived a full well rounded life. I’m sorry we never met.
Oh, Nancy, I am so sorry to learn of your father’s passing. May the Lord provide strength and comfort in this time of grieving; may you be carried by the Holy Spirit through the valley of the shadow of death. It’s a difficult journey for those of us still on this side of eternity. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” – Jesus.
I am saddened to learn of Neal’s passing. Although it has been some years since I last saw Neal, I always remember his exciting exploits including landing his Piper aircraft on Lima Rd. in the village in order that he might take it into his home to rebuild. He was also a skilled mechanic always willing to share his expertise, I appreciated Neal’s enthusiasm and pride in his always pristine vehicles. The Neal I knew as a neighbor on Lima Rd. so many years ago was a joyful and dedicated individual who lived life with gusto and goodness. RIP my friend.
Neal a faithful and loyal gentleman will be greatly missed. It was always an honor when Neal would bless us with his presence at church from time to time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and those who mourn with us this day. Until we meet again Neal…God bless.
