Donna L. Hill (Barber) – January 30, 2021

Springwater, NY:  Donna passed unexpectedly on January 30, 2021 at age 61.  She was born on April 28, 1959 in Dansville, NY to the late Kenneth and Thelma (Sparks) Barber.  In addition to her parents Donna was also predeceased by her brother Bruce Richardson.  Survived by her husband Robert W. Hill Jr. of Springwater, son Dana Barber of Lakeville, granddaughter Annalisa Victoria Rochelle Barber, and brother Dennis (Donna) Richardson; also survived by many other loving family and friends.

Donna enjoyed her life at their home in Springwater, NY where she could take care of her family and also where she could watch the herd of deer behind the house.  She enjoyed spending time and being with her granddaughter Annalisa whom she often referred to as “Pinky.”  Donna loved to listen to Country music both new & old. Her favorite time of year was in July when she & Rob would travel to Kentucky for the family reunion on his mother’s side of the family.  They often spent a week visiting with family which was something she truly treasured.  She loved the time her & Rob spent with friends at the Springwater American Legion over the years & often spoke of the years she spent chasing around her Dad, Ken at the Conesus American Legion when she was younger.  Both places held a special place in her heart.  To Donna there was nothing better than her time she spent with those she loved!

Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 6th, from 2-4pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY where a private memorial service will be held for the family at 4pm, following calling hours.  Interment will take place at Arnold Cemetery, Conesus, NY in the spring.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. 1. I was so saddened to hear of Donna’s passing. As kids we had so much fun in the 4H program and just riding horses together with all my Conesus cousins, she lived next to land my parents owned and we spent many summers together growing up we all had a BLAST TOGETHER. In 2012 we moved to Springwater and saw each other one time and found out we were neighbor’s so sorry we never got together. She was a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Our prayers and sympathy go out to the family.
    Sincerely,
    Kimberlee and George Williamson

  2. Rob and family.

Rob, I will miss seeing you and Donna in the store. She would always ask about my mom when I saw her. I will miss her smile and laugh. I didn’t believe my mother at first when she called me to tell me. It mad me sad. She was a real special lady. Kept the good times in your thoughts and cherish all the time you had together.. Think of you and your family.

  3. Rob and family,
We are so sad to hear of Donna’s passing! I will miss the hugs that she always gave me when we would see each other. We called each other “almost” because we were almost related!
The Springwater American Legion will not be the same without her. I miss her already!

  6. Such a shock to hear about Donna. She and Robbie were some of my first friends when we moved to Springwater, and later to find out we were neighbors! Donna always had a kind word and a smile for me, as well as a big hug. She got such great joy from her granddaughter, sharing pictures at every opportunity. My heart breaks for Rob, I never saw one without the other. I pray that he can find strength in his loving memories of Donna and the support of friends and family. We will miss her dearly.
