Honeoye: At age 78, Tom passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Robert and Veronica Poore. Survived by his beloved wife of 59 years: Ruth Poore, his children: Tim Poore and his wife Sibel, Terri Wagaman, Mitch Wagaman (son-in-law), Jody Poore, Matthew Poore and his wife Aarti, his sister: Pat Harris and his grandchildren: Natalie Senter and her husband Josh, Bailey Wagaman, Chloe Poore, Lila Poore, and Isabella Poore.
Tom was a devoted husband, dad, and papa, and cherished by many; he truly loved and took pride in his family. He was happiest at his Keuka lake house; boating, fishing, and taking his grandkids tubing. He loved watching his kids and grandkids play sports. He was their biggest fan and supporter, never missing a game. When he wasn’t in the stands at his kid’s/grandkid’s games, he was rooting for his beloved Buffalo Bills. You would find him every Sunday with his Bills gear on from head to toe.
In keeping with Tom’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Memorial Contributions may be made to an organization of your choice in Tom’s memory or to the American Cancer Society. To share a memory or a condolence, please visit: www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com.
