  1. Hi Anne, Sorry to hear of your loss. I’ve thought of you many times over the years. I speak from experience , time will heal some of your pain. May God bless you and your family in these tough times

  2. I just saw this and I wanted to send out my condolences to Beth and the family! When I lived in Avon in 1993-1994 I was invited to bring my newborn son over to sit in the a/c at your house. I remember the missionaries stopping by for lemonade, etc too.

  3. My deepest condolences to Bob’s family. He was such a nice and gentle man, and also very funny with a smart wit! I got to know him well many years ago and he will truly be missed. Rest in peace, Bob.

  4. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was so very kind to us when my husband Tom passed away. He drove my brothers and sister from the airport to our home and then back after the funeral. His thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated.

  5. I too was a student of Mr. Horan’s. My sympathies to Mrs. Horan and family. He will be remembered by many of his students as a fine man.

  6. Joan, Sue and family,

Wishing you the peace of happy memories as I keep you and all your family in my prayers.

  7. What sad news. Bob Horan was a great teacher, mentor, and friend. He was one of the most understanding and kindest math teachers I had at HCS. Math was not the easiest subject to tackle, but Mr. Horan was patient and helped me through. After he left HCS, and when I was a commuter student at St. John Fisher, I will always be grateful to him for giving me a lift to school. RIP, Mr. Horan, and thanks for being there.

  8. Jim and I were so sorry to receive this sad news. Our whole family has many wonderful memories of the years we lived in Honeoye near Bob and his family when they were at Skunk Hollow. We appreviated the years he served as our dedicated Home Teacher. Our love and prayers are with Bob, dear Beth and your family.

  9. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our cousin Bob! Please give our best to Beth and the family!

  10. I will miss you dearly old friend! Your optimism and joy for life have truly been an inspiration to me over the years. Until we meet again!

  11. Dear Beth and family…So very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. We enjoyed being neighbors while you were living in Lakeville VIllage and still miss having you next door.
Bob was always able to make us laugh with his dry wit and keen ability to observe the human condition. Also, our mutual love of cats.
    Our most heartfelt condolences.

  12. I attended Honeoye Central School when Mr. Horan taught there. The kids were a little wild his first year but he reined them in by his next year. He was a fine man and I remember him fondly. I remember a dance that he chaperoned and we all made a circle around him and sang “Bob Bob Bob Bob Bob Horan” to the rhythm of “Ba Ba Ba Ba Barbara Ann” by the beach boys. I still think of him today when I hear that song. Deepest sympathies to Mrs. Horan and family.
