Avon, NY: At age 74, Marky passed away peacefully at home with her husband Ken by her side on July 10, 2020. She was born in Olean NY on March 3, 1946 to Kenneth and Marian (Hunt) Willson. She was predeceased by her parents and her older brother Walter. Marky is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Kenneth Davidson, her nieces Joni and Rosie Willson, and nephew Willie Willson, her brothers-in-law Jim (Judy), and Jack Davidson and their families, and several generations of cousins Harriet Hurlburt Jim Guilford, Don Ford, Joyce Kliman, Darlene Keech Metatos, Jare Cardinal, Jamie Calway Esther Boring, and Joy Pender.
Marky was very active in the local Native American community both at Ganondagan in Victor and the Native American Cultural Center and Native American Resource Center in Rochester. Marky participated in a cultural exchange with Rochester’s Sister City during a trip to Rennes, France. Marky enjoyed her years working at the Rochester Museum and Science Center Strasenburg Planetarium. Although Marky was Seneca, she was active in facilitating a Mohawk language class for many years. Marky will be remembered for her generous nature and determined spirit.
