Allan F. Sears “Al” ~ May 2, 2020

Avon, NY/Newtown, CT:  At age 75, Alan passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at the Avon Nursing Home.  He was born in Santa Clara, CA to the late Leroy and Emley Sears.  Survived by his wife; Beverly Sears, his children; Alan (Ann) Sears, Tammy Richardson; Melissa (Shawn) Perkins and Teresa (Hayden) Morris, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Allan was a very humble, loving, funny, and dedicated father and husband.  Everyone knew him as Al.  He loved his family dearly and always made sure they were taken care of.  He worked very hard in the construction business and built houses for a living.  He always had a great reputation in the construction business.  He would always make sure the job was done right before he left to go to the next job.  Everyone loved and respected Al.  Al joined the United States Army and served for 3 years.  He earned his honorable discharge.  Al loved to play golf in his free time when he wasn’t working and enjoyed fishing and camping out by the lake.  Al was known for cooking for an army.  He loved to cook and always made enough food to feed an army.  He will truly be missed but we will always remember his humbleness in life and how good he treated people.

  1. Grandpa,
    I’ll never forget the times where we used to play fight and wrestle each other every time I came over as a kid. My favorite time had to of been when you told me to take a cigarette and run over to mom and put it in my mouth just to irritate mom.. I look back to laugh and smile about all the fun times we have had. From talking cars, to girls, and me loosing all your golf balls from hitting them over the fence. Rest easy grandpa. I miss you and love you everyday.
