Brigitta was a close friend of my mom and I grew up knowing her and her family. Yesterday I was cleaning up some stuff and found a beautiful quilted table runner from Brigitta that she made for my mother. I wanted to reconnect after so many years, but unfortunately, I read here that she passed in 2020. Thanks to the funeral home for keeping this online. My condolences to Guido and Christian. So sad. In any case, I just loved her! She was soooo talented in many areas, had this wonderful bubbly energy and accomplished so much in a day, and then that amazing smile! She was always lots of fun. Great memories. So sorry for the family’s loss. The last I heard from my mom, was that Brigitta met a new partner, was traveling a lot and enjoying life! In any case, I am sending much love to the Hassig family…

I am sending my condolences to the whole family. Your Mom was a great lady. I enjoyed knowing all of you and working with her.
I worked with Brigitte during her years as a school bus driver and fondly remember her warm smile and wonderful personality. She will be missed by many.
How well I remember this lovely lady when I taught Spanish at HFL-HS & MS. She was always cheery & helpful, so patient with the Kids! It was a pleasure to teach her son who was also a very pleasant, cooperative, and smart language Student. So sorry for her loss! Nancy Gnan
My condolences to the Hassig family. Joos always came to the tree farm early to choose a tree. It had to have branches spread apart enough to put real candles on to light. Brigitta invited Bill and me to show us how they did it. Then she served us homemade goodies. A memorable occasion. She was a lovely lady.
My condolences to the family, I worked with Brigitta as a bus driver ,she was a very sweet person .
Great lady great friend ,condolences and prayers to the family.
In addition to being a great friend, Brigitta was an amazing quilter and was an inspiration to those of us who knew her from the Basketeer’s quilt club. One of Brigitta’s quilts was a finalist in the “Keepsake Quilting” challenge and was chosen to tour all over the United States. I was blessed to have her as a friend. She left behind many memories and a lot of inspiration.
