Shirley Ann Rutherford (Stubbe) “Grandma Ruffel” – January 25, 2020

Conesus Lake:  Shirley passed peacefully on January 25, 2020 at age 88.  Predeceased by her husband Richard E. Rutherford and brothers Jack, Ray, and Mal Stubbe.  Survived by her children; Ronald (Cheryl) Rutherford, Thomas (Jennifer) Rutherford, Donald (Diane) Rutherford, Susan (Michael) McManus, and Judy (Thomas) Keysa (Ruffel); sisters, Pat (Larry) Zimmer, JoAnn (Bill) Andraszek, and Diane DeMark; sister-in-law Joyce Stubbe; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 29th, from 4-8pm at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 21 Big Tree Street, Rte 15 & 20A, Livonia, NY.  Shirley’s Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 30th, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road, Livonia, NY.  Interment will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY on Friday, January 31st, at 10am, anyone wishing to attend may meet at the Main Gate on Lake Avenue.  To send a condolence or share a memory please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com

  6. I am saddened to hear of your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. I remember your mother from meeting her at the cottage on Conesus Lake. She was so pleasant and full of life. It is a pleasure to have known her. I know she will be missed. Cherish the memories you have of her.

  10. Dear Family, It’s hard being so far away from you, especially when you loose a loved one. Greg and I send our love to you all. Please, find comfort knowing that she is reunited with your Father. We know how much she missed him. I especially remember the memories we shared as the Gibson girls and the Rutherford’s got together. These memories never lost, but become more precious. You’re in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.   13. RIP Aunt Shirley……hope she is at peace now back with her hubby……..My Uncle (Godfather) Dick Rutherford… She lived a long life and had her family around her for all of it. Sorry for your loss, Ron,Tom,Don,Sue,Judy and spouses, grandkids and all. You can take solace knowing you were always there for her right to the end of her journey. Love you guys
