Thayer, her parents Ralph and Teresa (Powell) Angelo, and her siblings Fran Van De Bogart and Tom Angelo.  Survived by children; Harold (Robyn) Harris of Lima, Joann (John) King of Lakeville, Scott (Peggy) Harris of Honeoye, and Todd Harris of Pittsford; step-children Alice (Tom) Mann of CA and Victor (Amy) Thayer of Mendon; 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ann Schunk, Ralph Angelo, Bill Angelo, Rick Angelo, Jake Angelo, and Kathi Czebatol.  Rachel is also survived by many other loving family and friends including many nieces and nephews.  Special thank you to Nancy Angelo and Connie Gilderhus for their loving kindness in Rachel’s final days.

Rachel was an LPN for 42 years, finishing her career as a nurse at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home. She enjoyed watching sports and actually attended nine Super Bowl games.  Her love and caring for others continued when she began to reside in Senior Living Homes as she would often take others less fortunate under her wings and make sure that they felt special each day.  An incredible Mother to all who knew her, Rachel had an amazing way of making everyone feel loved and of value.  From the Pinehurst to the Highlands of Pittsford to Heather Heights to the Jewish Home and finally to the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital, Queen Rachel could be found holding court with residents, staff and nurses always mesmerized by her strength, wisdom and the love for life that she displayed.   Matthew 25:21 describes her welcome into heaven: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

  6. Matthew 25:21 “Well done, good and faithful servant” not only describes Rachel, but her entire family who lovingly cared for her. Blessings on our good friend, her son Todd, who visited her every single day for the past two years, and almost every one of those days he tucked her in bed for the night. Know that our prayers are with you during this season of grieving. May you sense the sweetness and comfort of the Holy Spirit and be held by His strength and tender care for you. 2 Corinthians 1:2-4 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
