Avon: At age 88, Dick passed away peacefully on July 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rochester to the late, Robert and Blanche Davidson. Dick was predeceased by his siblings; Robert Davidson and Elthea Close. He is survived by his wife of 67 years; Katharine Davidson, his daughters; Valerie (Michael) Whitaker, Janis (Kelly) Cole, Tricia (Tom) Bruckel, his seven grandchildren; Shauna (Zack) Caratozzolo, Erin (Seth) Molisani, Jesse (Carrie) Cole, Jeffrey (Tanya) Bruckel, Colin (Amie) Bruckel, Emily Bruckel (Ken Burns), Evan Bruckel and his nine great grandchildren.
Dick was a submariner on the USS Batfish of the US Navy. He and his Army vet wife enjoyed a trip to Washington, DC with Rochester Honor Flight. Dick was an avid horseman who enjoyed many different types of equestrian activities. He kept busy with many home improvement projects. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Dick. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time . I know that I can speak for my brothers , Bob, Dan, and Shannon and tell you how much we loved and enjoyed spending time with him over the years. We all have great memories of him out on Conesus lake water skiing. I remember him coming to a few of my baseball games when I was in high school.
