Tamera L. Schwerzler “Tammie” ~ June 13, 2019

Livonia:  At age 56, Tammie passed peacefully on June 13, 2019 at her home in Livonia.  She was born to the late Albert and Joyce McGrain in Rochester, NY.  Tammie is predeceased by her sister; Nancy Kohler and is survived by her children; Gregory Schwerzler Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Paramus, NJ, Tyler Schwerzler and his fiancé Lindsay Black of Kingston, NY, Meghan Schwerzler of Livonia, NY, Emily Schwerzler of Conesus, NY, her siblings; Debbie Zeh and her husband Steve of Livonia, NY, Dawn Gerstner and her husband Jeff of Livonia, NY, Barry McGrain of Livonia, NY, Billy McGrain of Livonia and her grandsons; Patrick and Jacob Schwerzler, along with her Pug; Gracie.

Tammie was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She grew up, went to school, and lived in Livonia for the majority of her life. She loved living in a small town where she knew everyone. Tammie worked at Livonia High school, Building and Zoning office and local Post Offices, serving her community gave her much joy. She had a passion for crafting and crocheting and would constantly start a new project before finishing the last. Nothing gave her more happiness than her children, grandchildren, all the children who hold a special place in her heart, and of course, her pug Gracie.

Friends and Family are invited to call on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 4-7PM at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Big Tree Street in Livonia.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Matthew’s Church, 6591 Richmond Mills Road in Livonia with interment following at Temple Hill Cemetery on Temple Hill Street in Geneseo.  Memorial Contributions may be made to:  the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester:  http://www.rmhcrochester.org/get-involved/donate/  To share a memory or a condolence please visit:  www.doughertyfuneralhomes.com.

    My heart ached for each of you when I learned you had lost your mom. We had just chatted recently and she proudly caught me up on each of your lives. As always, her pride and deep love for each of you was ever present. I will remember her as a gentle, kind woman who was your strongest advocate, and who was not afraid to show her immeasurable love for her family. Please find comfort in knowing that others care and are saddened by your loss.

  5. Greg, Tyler, Megan and Emily…words can not express my sadness to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a friend that always had a smile whenever we would meet up somewhere and she will be remembered for her beautiful smiles as well as the biggest most beautiful heart.
